google talksAs of 4th January 2013, Google Dance still prevails and I see a lot of shifts on SERP.

Many rumors are around regarding penguin update and panda updates. Some even called it a mixed bag such as Zebra Update, but no one is sure and Google as usual has taken a chill pill and is in Silent Mode. Soon the results will settle and we will have a clear picture how to proceed to make sure our sites are in good positions.

Testing Sites Previously Mentioned

As I mentioned in my previous posts that, I started test domains and added new contents and a few back links through comment posting and web 2.0 links plus I did some link building from my other good PR websites (PR2 – PR3). Please read my previous two posts.

Explaining Google Dance & Google Penguin Update January 17 2013

Effective Strategies After Google Update Panda 24 & January 17 2013

My new sites were (and still are) showing very good response in SERP during Google dance. And just to my notice, both of my new domains got PR2 today. Then I checked all my other websites which were dropping in SERP a little bit and coming back to original position but still dancing, also got increase in PR.

Google Page Rank Updates 2013

Generally Google brings Page Rank Updates after 3-4 Months of Interval. Here is the schedule of Page Rank Updates by Google in 2013.

  • First: 27 January – 7 Feb
  • Second: 28 June to 8 July
  • Third: 28 September to 5 October
  • Fourth Page Rank Update may be held in the last of December 2013 or Start of January 2014

New Website Performance

My new websites were just 2 – 3 weeks old, and I still got PR2 from ground zero. All my other websites have blogs on it. And they get indexed almost instantly. I add an article and it appears in search results after couple of minutes. Mean while I was adding a link in those articles for my new domains, they were getting indexed instantly my new site was getting pinged.

I have added all unique and informative contents with very limited keyword stuffing. Even in Meta tags, keywords was spread i.e. long tail keywords to make the sites all natural to Google. That what Google likes, natural tone and informative so that it can give best results in search.

Now the question is why new sites are getting good response from Google during all this dance and updates? I will discuss that in my next post, a very detailed one and will lots of findings. So stay tuned.

Google Zebra Update?

In this post, I like to have your comments about Google Zebra. I will keep my reservations and will reply to the comments. Is Google Zebra a myth just like Sandbox (If sandbox prevails, then how come my new websites got good ranking immediately and getting better slowly?).

What about social media marketing? Is this new update is a target towards social media excessive marketing? I also have a website for which I never did any social media marketing and it is as stable as Ayers Rock ( Ayers Rocks is in Australia – Northern Territory)

Hi Seo-hop, ran across your site from a Google search. I don’t think anyone has to worry about Google’s striped animals unless they have a really lame link profile. If they are gaming the system then it is only a matter of time. Even those who “believe” my site is white hat, but I am gonna do a “little” on the dark side, “I don’t think Google will notice” well eventually they do….and the rest of the story…..everyone wants to rank…but they don’t want to put in the hard work to do it.

@GregFowler2 Everyone has their own strategy. Some will fail some will succeed. Our is succeeding and has been since inception. Very happy to say :) Those who are not improving and or declining will either need help from people like us or will have to learn a new strategy.

@GregFowler2 I got a site, with duplicate contents all over it. I made this site couple of years ago, with revolving door pages so that i can cover 200 areas in UK and it is on first page with competitive keywords.
There is not a single thing in that website which is good as far as SEO is concerned, got keyword stuffing, duplicate meta tags, keywords in title, description and keywords tags……and it is still a topper.
